Andrea Di Lorenzo (Varese, 1994) vive e lavora a Bologna. Nel suo lavoro si esprime in forme diverse spaziandodalla scultura, all’installazione, alla fotografia, al video, privilegiando un analisi legata all’uso dei materiali e al rapportotra ambiente paesaggio e corpo. Andrea Di Lorenzo (Varese, 1994) lives and works in Bologna. In his work he expresses himself in different formsranging from sculpture, installation, photography and video, focusing on an analysis linked to the use of materialsand the relationship between the landscape, the body and the environment. Il progetto in vetrina:

Fango dimentica è una progetto nato nel 2021 con un fulcro sulle cave e le ex cave di argilla presenti in Italia, neltentavo di cercare un rapporto tra la grande mole di materiale estratto nei giacimenti e l’uso atipico che facciodello stesso nella mia pratica dal 2016 con la serie radure.I lavori che ne scaturiscono sono una riflessione su un assottigliamento al limite di un materiale scultoreo cheperde la sua volumetria trasformandosi in una membrana bidimensionale. Il progetto site specific presentato perco_atto si compone di una serie di 4 fotografie scattate nella ex cava di Faenza riprodotte con un sottile velo diargilla sulla vetrina dello spazio, e da alcuni elementi scultorei. Le sculture, calchi di fiori di palma reperiti lungo iltragitto per la cava, sono realizzate in resina trasparente e ricoperte con lo stesso sottile velo di argilla.

The project:

Fango dimentica is a project born in 2021 with a focus on the quarries and former clay quarries in Italy, in wich Itried to find a relationship between the large amount of material extracted in the deposits and the atypical use ofit in my practice since 2016 with the series radure.The resulting works are a reflection on a thinning at the limit of a sculptural material that loses its volume transforminginto a two-dimensional membrane. The site specific project presented for the occasion consists of aseries of 4 photographs taken in the former quarry of Faenza reproduced with a thin layer of clay on the windowof the space, and some sculptural elements. The sculptures, casts of palm flowers found along the way to thequarry, are made of transparent resin and covered with the same thin layer of clay.
